Making a Plan and Sticking To It

Class Size: 10 students

What is working in your art practice? What isn’t?  In this insightful workshop, you will examine your art practice in depth to recognize the strengths you could be mining and the weaknesses that are holding you back.  You will learn about tools and techniques to help achieve success both in your art practice and in your career, and you will set an action plan to help you stick to your goals.  This workshop will include sharing your work, writing and brainstorming activities, partner and group discussions, as well as a list of resources for professional development. 

What You Should Bring
• Up to 10 images of your own work

The class fee includes a boxed lunch.  

This talk is organized in conjuction with her weekend of Master Classes at HCP:
Artist Talk, on Thursday, March 21.
Master Class -  Porffolio Review, on Friday, March 22.
Master Class -  Face to Face: Making Photographic Portraits, on Saturday, March 23.
 
 


About Kelli Connell
 
Kelli Connell’s body of work entitled Double Life has been widely received and included in numerous national solo and group exhibitions.  Her work is in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Columbus Museum of Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Museum of Contemporary Photography, Microsoft, The Haggerty Museum of Art and The Dallas Museum of Art.  Recent publications include MP3: Midwest Photographers’ Publication Project (Aperture and The Museum of Contemporary Photography), Vitamin Ph: New Perspectives in Photography (Phaidon) and Photo Art: The New World of Photography (Aperture).  Connell’s first full length monograph entitled Kelli Connell: Double Life was released by DECODE Books in August, 2011.
