Want to learn how to create the images you imagine? This hands-on digital photography course introduces students to the basics of a digital photography. Inspired by artists like Barbara Kruger, Gilbert and George, Andy Warhol, Dan Flavin, Sol LeWitt and Gabriel Orozco, this camp allows students to explore the wonders of Photoshop and the basics of composition to create experimental psychedelic photographs. During the week, campers will also learn about camera operation, standardized workflow and post-production techniques. Have fun with photography while learning to use your camera

About Kelly Webeck
Kelly Webeck is a young, aspiring photographer and educator who grew up in Indiana. She studied Visual Art Studies at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with her Bachelors degree in 2009. Since finishing college she completed the longest annual charity bike ride for cancer research from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska (Texas4000.org). Her photographs have been displayed in galleries in California and Texas. Currently she lives and works in Houston. While working for HCP she has taught classes that are geared towards middle school aged students and teenagers. Her most inspiring and challenging work has been with Texas Children’s Hospital where once a week she shares the art of photography.
Registration
Registration for courses and workshops takes place through HCP's website on a first-come first-serve basis. HCP members receive discount on all of our education events. If this is your first time taking a course or workshop at HCP you will need to create a profile online; make sure to add the camp participant's name at the "student name" field. Registration will be complete upon receipt of the filled student form.
