Intermediate Photography: Lighting

Discover ways to achieve optimal lighting for a variety of different shooting situations. This course will cover light metering for both studio and ambient lighting. Students will work with available light as well as set up their own lighting situations. During class, you will learn to control and correct lighting with hands-on instruction with both flash and studio lights.

This course includes:
• Light metering
• Ambient lighting
• Using a flash
• Studio lighting
• Hands-on practice
• Feedback on your images

What to bring to class:
• Digital SLR camera that can be controlled completely manually (aperture, shutter speed and focus)
• Memory card
• External or built in flash
• Flash Drive

Pre-requisites: Students taking this class should have a working knowledge of how their camera works and composition skills. The following HCP courses are recommended pre-requisites-
