Description:
Learn how to get the most out of your highlights and shadows by using the high dynamic range technique. Using HDR techniques, photographers have the ability to create one well-exposed image by layering multiple exposures in difficult lighting situations. Using Adobe Photoshop, the instructor will show students how to make a blended image with the least amount of noise and the most amount of detail. Students will learn two ways to create multiple exposures, in camera and on the computer. This class will cover difficult lighting situations such as back-lit objects, high-contrast views and certain types of portraits. A lecture will illustrate examples of various situations in which this method is applicable. Students will receive sample images for practice during follow-along demonstrations. The second class will include a short lecture and hands-on lab time. Students will bring their own images to work on with the instructor’s assistance.

This course includes outside-of-class assignments to practice what you’ve learned.

    -  CD or Flash Drive with 3-5 RAW images

Pre-requisites:
 Students taking this class should have a working knowledge of Photoshop and their camera's functions. The following HCP courses are recommended pre-requisites:
