Portraiture Tips

Learn the fundamentals of portrait photography in this lecture and demonstration workshop. The instructor will guide you through the basics of portraiture and explain how to apply these techniques to family photos and images of people. This workshop will cover everything from directing your subject and working with people to selecting the right lens. The instructor will discuss the use of reflectors and diffusers in natural light. Students will learn how to select a proper background, choose between B&W or color and use professional techniques to ensure a great portrait.

 

What to bring to class: 
-  Camera (film or digital)

Pre-requisites:
Students in this class should have a working knowledge of shutter speed, aperture, film speed and light metering.
