Class Size: 10 students
Description:
Now that you have refined your technical skills, learn how to develop and create a successful body of photographic work. This course will outline the elements of a cohesive portfolio and guide you in establishing a theme, identifying shooting opportunities and editing the results. You will also be assisted in constructing a meaningful statement about your work as well as a professional artist biography. Group critiques will provide an opportunity for a useful exchange of ideas that will foster the growth of new approaches to your photography.
This course includes outside-of-class assignments to practice what you’ve learned.
This course includes:
· Creating a body of work
· Editing your portfolio
· Writing an artist statement and biography
· Feedback on your images
What to bring to class:
· Photographs to critique
· Flash drive
Pre-requisites:
Students taking this class should have a working knowledge of how their camera works, composition, lighting and presentation skills. The following HCP courses are recommended pre-requisites:
