Gain confidence in your ability to create great photographic images by utilizing the basic rules of composition. This course will cover such terminology and guidelines as rule of thirds, leading lines and orientation. You will also become acquainted with different photographic styles such as portrait, landscape, documentary and conceptual. Discover how to choose the most effective background for your subject as well as how to frame your final image for maximum impact. A group critique of class assignments will strengthen your ability to recognize an image that successfully uses the basics of visual composition.
