HOUSTON, TX – On Friday, August 27, 2009 from 8-11pm, HCP will host, along with Buffalo Bayou Partnership, its 6th annual SPIN party, SPIN ON SUMMER, a friendraiser that provides the Houston community with a great opportunity to celebrate summer, enjoy good company, and contribute towards the creation of an interactive experience.
This year’s theme has to do with all things summer. From wild adventures in far off lands, to road trips down the street. HCP will celebrate them all in style! Join us for a one next exhibition dedicated to Travel Photography and Summer Projects, Music, Karaoke Ice Cream Truck, Oh My! Pocket Pies, Whole Foods Goodies, Tour de France Performance. Real Ale Brewing will provide beer all night for the open Tiki bar. The party isn’t complete without photography; attendees are invited to contribute to the one night exhibition by submitting their summer pictures, stories, and postcards. Submissions will be accepted at the event and prior to the event via mail or email.
Tickets are available for $10 in advance. Tickets will be available at the door the night of the event for $15 or $10 for summer travel attired folks!
While at the event, attendees can try their hand at winning one of several available raffle prizes. Raffle items donated by: The Houston Grand Opera, The Houston Symphony, The Dallas Stars Foundation, Brown Simms P.C. - providing Astros tickets and Texans tickets, The Texas Rangers, The Houstonian, Goode Company, and Studio Movie Grill.
