Workshop & Course Information
Registration
Registration for courses and workshops takes place through HCP's website, on a first-come first-serve basis. HCP member receive 25% discount on all of our education events. If this is your first time taking a course or workshop at HCP you will need to create an online profile.

Cancellation Policy
HCP requires a 4-day (96 hour) notice for all course and workshop cancellations or request to transfer to another class. A $15 processing fee will be applied to all changes made by student. This includes request for refunds, transfer and credits.

Waiting List
You can request to be added to the waiting list for any class by writing to education@hcponline.org
. Be sure to include your name, phone number and class information (title of the class and dates requested). If a space becomes available we will contact the students on the list in the order they got added to the waiting list. Often times we open new workshop or course sessions and inform all the students on the list.
Location of Workshops & Courses
All courses and workshops are held at HCP unless noted in the description.
HCP is located at 1441 West Alabama, Houston TX 77006.
The cross street is Mulberry. HCP is located between Montrose and Shepard near the Menil Collection.
Other possible locations include Houston Skyline Studios, Frank White Studio, Menil Park, Heritage Park, Brazos Bend State Park, Aurora Picture Show and Edith P Moore Bird Sanctuary. Directions to other locations will be given in the workshop or course description or in the first meeting.
Class Times
Doors to HCP open 20 minutes prior to the workshop or course start time.
Parking at HCP
On-site parking is available at HCP; there is a lot in front of HCP. Parking is also available on Mulberry and is allowed in the Menil Parking lot located across the street from HCP.
Public Transportation
Metro Stop for Bus 78 is on the corner of Mulberry and West Alabama for both east and west bound buses.
Food and Drink
Food and drink are not permitted in any classroom except for bottled water. Water is available for purchase at the front desk for $1.
Digital Darkroom
The Digital Darkroom is equipped with Apple iMac computers and are loaded with Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended, Photoshop Elements, Adobe Lightroom 3 and Microsoft Office.

Definitions of terms used in descriptions:
Course - A course is a multi-day program. Courses are part of HCP's photography basic guide and have pre-requisites. Outside assignments are given during courses.
Class - A class is one meeting time within a course.
Workshop - A workshop is a one-day or multi-day stand alone program. Workshops are hands on and do not have outside assignments.
Session - A session is one complete offering of a course or workshop.
