HCP is seeking instructors for workshops in photo-related topics. We are looking for instructors who are knowledgeable with film and digital photography for adults and/or teens and feel comfortable teaching at all levels. HCP’s workshops range from 2 – 10 hours per meeting with an average of 1-4 meetings per session. Workshops are held during weekdays, weeknights, and weekend days. Workshop Calendars are scheduled three times a year: Fall, Spring and Summer.
HCP's curriculum follows the photographic workflow (Capture, Edit, Process and Present) with classes in these fields such as:
Capturing Images: Camera, Scanning, Alternative Processes, Composition, Lighting
Editing Images: Creating a body of work, history of photography
Processing Images: Digital Processing with Lightroom, Photoshop
Presenting Images: Digital Printing, Creating a website
- BFA in Photography required; Master's degree in Photography or related field highly preferred
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in photo related subjects
Wages and Schedule:
This position is part time on a contractor's basis. Salary is paid at the hourly rate starting at $25/hour for teaching.
