We are limiting the workshop to 10 folks so there will be lots of personal instruction.

The workshop is $650 plus the minimal cost of staying at the park HQ with meals. A $250 deposit and signed release form is required to hold your spot with the balance due on or before November 1, 2012. The last three trips have been sold out early so get in touch soon! Please contact Alan at 713-526-1747 or alan@woodallen.com for additional information and to register.

Upon registration, we will update you with equipment suggestions and other information leading up to the workshop. A full refund is available until November 1, 2012 and you have the opportunity to sell your spot after that date if you cannot attend.

Exerpt from judges commentary: "My selection as this years winner, BLUES, BOOZE AND BBQ, is an example of a book that combines the past and present of the lively heritage of good times as seen the food, music and drink of the region. Young's book shows the multi-dimensional quality of a music culture that survives in juke joints, roadhouses and festivals that cuts across the lines of age and race, all- the -while demonstrating that the blues represents an ongoing living tradition in Mississippi. His color photographs capture both quiet behind -the- scenes moments and the lively infectious vitality of the music and audiences that have come to make the blues a modern timeless American music, one that will forever be deeply rooted in the soil of Mississippi."
