Eli Reed - Finding the Image

Students will learn to approach any situation with ease, confidence, and a clear mind to produce the best image possible. Through lecture, critique, and a shooting exercise, Eli Reed will share his method for becoming familiar with a space in a short amount of time, whether it is for personal work or a commercial shoot. Students will also learn the importance of workflow in photography, from taking the image, to editing and post production.Eli Reed is a Magnum photographer currently teaching at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. Since the late 70's Reed has lectured and taught extensively; he has also received numerous awards for his work in both fine art and journalism.
Susan Hayre Thelwell - Creating a Photo Book (with Blurb)

Through lecture, discussion, personal practice, and critique, this workshop will cover the necessary basics needed to complete a photo book using Blurb.com. Various technical aspects will be covered and Susan will also discuss the importance of sequencing and editing your work for a book. She will use student images as examples and also look at classic photo books. Susan Hayre Thelwell is a photographer and educator currently living and working in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

This workshop walks through Adobe's newest program, Lightroom, and demonstrates what it can do for photographers. This 2-day workshop with Scott Martin takes an intense look at optimizing the digital photography workflow from capture to print using the latest version of Adobe Lightroom.
Scott Martin is a fine-art photographer and digital photography consultant living in San Antonio, Texas. He is the founder of Onsight and has been working with digital photography since the 1980s.
Henry Horenstein - Shooting and Critiquing

The weekend will be spent exploring Houston and individual visions with renowned photographer Henry Horenstein. During the workshop, students will look at their photographic practice by exploring the relationship of subject, camera, and self through review, lecture, group discussion and field trips.
Henry Horenstein has worked as a photographer, teacher, and author since the early 1970s. He is currently Professor of Photography at RISD, and has published over 30 books, including many monographs and textbooks.
