HCP's programs are made possible by support from members, and in part by government grant agencies, private & public foundations, corporate & individual contributions, and the tireless work of many volunteers and interns dedicated to increasing the understanding and appreciation of photography and its evolving role in contemporary culture.

Volunteer
Volunteers play an essential role in the work we do. From painting and spackling to distribution to serving refreshments at opening receptions, we couldn't do it without you! We regularly look for volunteers for gallery prep, Bayou City Arts Festival, Annual Print Auction, and SPIN.

Special Events
HCP annually hosts the Print Auction, Annual Print Sale, and SPIN event. We rely on the assistance of numerous volunteers to make these events run smoothly and succesfully.

Gallery Prep
HCP produces 15-20 on and off-site exhibitions a year. With the close of each exhibition, we rely on our gallery prep volunteers to get the walls ready for the next exhibition.

Distribution
Help get the word out about what is going on at HCP! Stop by HCP and pick up the most recent calendar or invite to drop off at your favorite locations.

*Upon completion of 10 hours of service per year, HCP Volunteers receive a free-membership (at the individual level). Already a member? Your membership will be extended for a year from the date of expiration. Membership will be issued at the end of the year once yearly hours of service are estimated.

Internship
HCP provides opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to gain practical experience as a volunteer intern in programming, membership, exhibitions, education, library science, publications, and archiving. Internships are unpaid, but course credit can be arranged with the intern’s educational institution. HCP internships require a comittment of 8 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months during HCP business hours of Monday through Friday.
