Outreach Programming

HCP endeavors to excite and educate the community about photography as an artistic medium and a tool for cultural investigation. HCP is committed to lifelong learning through the vehicle of photography and related media. HCP proudly displays the work created through our outreach programming in the Learning Center Gallery.

PictureThis!

HCP’s PictureThis! is an educational outreach program that helps children with critical forms of cancer and blood disorders to think and dream beyond their illness. Photography enables the young patients living with cancer to focus on the healthy, youthful aspects of their lives by allowing them to look at their surroundings through a different perspective.

Collaborations

HCP’s Collaborations is an educational outreach program that celebrates photography and encourages collaboration and teamwork with Houston-area high school students. Each year, HCP brings together individuals from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds to collectively plan and execute an exhibition of their own photographs.
