Classes that are open to all skill sets and mediums.
Classes that cover the basics of camera-based photography, i.e. basic camera functions, composition and digital workflow. A great first step for those new to photography.
Classes that cover the next steps in learning the camera, photo basics and digital manipulation. Perfect for the photographer who already knows aperture, shutter speed, and how to control them on their camera and is familiar with Photoshop. A good fit for the photographer who is ready to learn a bit more control with using the camera and computer to correct images.
Classes that cover a wide range of topics and techniques: from state-of-the-art digital to historic, hands-on processes & contextual discussions. These classes are perfect for the photographer looking to create or improve a body of work and/or to learn new techniques. While a basic understanding of photography is necessary for most of the special topics classes, they are not restricted to advanced students, instead, they are open to all photographers with a desire to gain new insights into photographic processes.
Throughout the year, HCP invites renowned photography experts to teach Master Classes on various topics. These are unique opportunities to learn directly from celebrated industry professionals.
