Violette Bule is a mix media artist and photographer, who studied at the Escuela Activa de Fotografía in Mexico City. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at art galleries, museums, and art fairs. Bule’s social engagement work has been presented in several academic institutions such as Brown University, Pittsburg University, Musashino Art University, Rutgers University, among others. Her work is present in private and institutional collections, including the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas, Venezuela. She is the recipient of the SOME SUMMER grant awarded by Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros. Bule is a founding member of www.dismantlingthesimulation.com, a visual arts collective formed in 2014 in response to student protests in Venezuela and engaged in critical dialogue about the country’s polarized political environment.
