Join HCP for a weekend-long Cyanotype Workshop that will have you seeing cool-blue! This is a multi-step, two-day workshop, which will introduce you to the marvels of digital inkjet negatives and its uses for contact printing in the traditional, pre-film, Cyanotype process.
The first part of the workshop will be at HCP’s Digital Lab and will include all of the necessary steps for creating quality digital negatives. The second part of the workshop will be a hands-on and in-depth demonstration of the Cyanotype process. Additionally, you’ll get a historical overview of this classic process through print examples, reference texts, and online resources.
The first class (August 14th) will be in-person at Houston Center for Photography (1441 West Alabama, Houston, Texas 77006.). The second class (August 15th) will be in-person at Hardy & Nance Studios (902 Hardy St, Houston, TX 77020.)
