The last couple of months have profoundly shaken up how most of us live, work, and create. Get inspired by your personal, physical, or emotional spaces in this FREE online introductory workshop, presented in collaboration with Precision Camera in Austin, Texas. Houston Center for Photography instructor, Lou Benjamin, introduces approaches for sorting through your experiences to make your work more personal. Whether you are just getting started or are a seasoned professional, this workshop will motivate you to use photography for creative expression and intellectual reflection. This workshop will explore capturing the domestic space through intimate portraiture, studies of personal ephemera, and observations of interior spaces from your home and surrounding neighborhood. Students will be introduced to visual language, photographic theory, and art history, as well as be encouraged to expand their photographic skills and knowledge of techniques.
This FREE workshop is provided by Houston Center for Photography, a non-profit gallery, educational space, and publisher in Houston, Texas, in collaboration with Precision Camera, a premier online and brick-and-mortar retailer and photo lab based in Austin, Texas.
