Composition Minis: Subject Placement

Good composition is the essence of impactful images. But how do we define a “good composition?” In this course, your instructor will answer this question with tangible rules, so your technique can be more scientific than mystical. Similar to how learners of a new language use grammar to structure their sentences, aspiring photographers can use compositional elements to design their images. This course is part of a series of mini composition workshops. Sign up for one or all four mini-workshops and pave the way for creating intuitive, great compositions in your photography.

Subject Placement: Learn about the dynamic placement of your subject in the picture. Students will explore the rule of thirds, centering, use of negative space, the importance of triangles, and more!
