The Learning Center Classes

Fashion Photography for Teens | Tuesdays | 4-6 pm

In this program, students (age 12-17) will be introduced to the technical and creative aspects of fashion photography from developing a concept to facilitating a photoshoot with a model. Students will study current and historical examples of fashion photography, including examples from the concurrent HCP exhibit, Tools of Revolution, to understand how visual elements of design are used to convey certain messages and effects.

They will be exposed to all aspects of a photoshoot and will learn how to photograph models in both natural and artificial light. At the end of the program, the students will be guided in how to design and print their own fashion zine using the photographs they have created throughout the program.
