Mise-en-scène: Photograph Construction for Teens

Ready, set, action! Join artist and instructor Violette Bule in this online class for teens and become a master at composing everything that appears in front of the camera—from constructing your “sets,” costumes, and lighting to directing your models. Learn how to organize your photoshoots using the various elements of design to express your vision, generate a sense of time and space, as well as set a mood, and even suggest your “character’s” state of mind. In this online class for teens, students will be given the tools to direct their photoshoots. This class is ideal for teens between the ages of 12–17 (7th-12th grade) with any level of art experience. Students will learn new and different techniques each day as they move along the courses. Improve your photography skills and make new friends in this new course at HCP!

Attention: This class has been moved online in response to the growing impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Please register as you normally would, and Houston Center for Photography staff will update you with information and a link to take this course at it’s scheduled time.
