Photographer’s Sketchbook II: Delving Deeper

Jumpstart your creativity with photographer and book artist Kelly Webeck. This follow-up to Photographer’s Sketchbook: Building a Daily Practice allows students to delve deeper into their current sketchbook practice. Students are encouraged to experiment with and expand their skill set, knowledge of techniques, and the overarching concepts that inform them. Students will draw inspiration from the sketchbooks of established and emerging artists and discover what works best for them. Writing prompts as homework, carefully designed to increase visual literacy, foster creativity, and invite reflection will inspire you. You will leave this course with a sketchbook full of thoughtful meditations on photography and images that will inspire you for years to come.

Attention: This class has been moved online in response to the growing impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Please register as you normally would, and Houston Center for Photography staff will update you with information and a link to take this course at it’s scheduled time.
