In this intermediate class, students become more deeply involved with the technical aspects of the medium, while at the same time beginning to develop their personal creative vision. Structured to offer a comprehensive knowledge of digital photography workflow, this class addresses everything from capture to process to print. Assignments include both technical and aesthetic concerns, supplemented by readings that consider the rich tradition of handheld photography and the work of artists such as George Brassai, Diane Arbus, Lee Friedlander, Graciela Iturbide, Gordon Parks, and Robert Adams among others.
