Avenida Houston\, the newest place to sip\, stroll and savor in downtown Houston\, has something for everyone this holiday. Crawl along with artist and independent curator Laura Napier from Discovery Green’s ice-skating rink to the Hilton Americas\, where they have decked their hall with an amazing 2.5 Ton Gingerbread House along with a Christmas tree spectacular waiting in the lobby! \nWhile you are there\, stick around to experience Downtown’s new eye captivating art installation LOOP in front of the George R. Brown Convention Center\, and other interactive art installations in the park. Coming all the way from Canada\, LOOP is a cross between a music box\, a zoetrope and a railway handcar. The retro-futuristic machine\, more than two meters in diameter\, creates animated fairy-tale loops. \nYou are welcome to bring your tripods or monopods!
