Our Executive Director and Curator\, Dorota Biczel\, will lead a guided tour and answer your questions.  \n  \nThrough Edi Hirose’s work\, you will learn about different ecosystems in Peru\, both modern and premodern forms of extraction\, the hunt for alluvial gold deposits and their impact on the Amazon rainforest\, and the luminous volcanic rock called rhyolite\, among many other topics. \n  \nThrough Jake Eshelman’s work\, you will be introduced to the Ivanchuk family from Heisykha\, Ukraine. The Ivanchuk’s life on their small family farm exemplifies the Ukrainian culture’s deep embeddedness in its lands\, and a profound respect\, love\, and understanding of the Earth. \n
