The Joan Hohlt and Roger Wich Emerging Photographer Scholarship Program
The Joan Hohlt and Roger Wich Emerging Photographer Scholarship gives an annual cohort of four students full access to our state-of-the-art digital lab and allows them to take up to nine courses—from technology classes like Large-Format Printing to content development courses like Photography & Social Engagement—from our skilled Learning Center instructors. Recipients will also receive two portfolio reviews with HCP’s Executive Director & Curator during their scholarship year. Our goal is to provide resources to emerging artists at critical moments in their creative lives. We aim to support students in transitioning into roles as exhibiting and/or teaching artists who will enrich the cultural fabric of our community.
Students are eligible to apply for one or up to two years of funding. Recipients will be awarded free tuition for up to nine Learning Center classes annually and a stipend to cover the cost of printing in our digital facilities.
This program is open to photographers currently enrolled in any undergraduate or graduate program, or those who have graduated within the past three years. There is no fee to apply.
